But the 488 Pista was far off that pace, instead nearly tying Lamborghini Aventador SV LP 750-4's 2015 lap time of 6.59.73. As per usual with Nürburgring lap times, it's amazing to watch.

Using the tire Michelin specifically designed for the 488 Pista, the Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R K1, sport auto 's seasoned test driver and Nürburgring local Christian Gebhardt laid down a 7.00:03 minute lap.

Well, it surely is, judging by the results. In the video at the top of this page, Sport Auto 's test driver Christian Gebhardt takes the 488 Pista for a very competent lap around the Nurburgring with a time of exactly 7:00 minutes. That's hugely impressive considering the car was stock and was riding on Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R K1 tyres.
